In which states is MDRxLabs available?
The MDRxLabs membership is available to residents of all 50 U.S. states. Provider availability and prescribing authority vary by state. Your assigned provider will be licensed in your state of residence.
What happens after I complete my evaluation?
A licensed provider will review your health evaluation and conduct a telehealth consultation, which may take place via live video or through an asynchronous provider review, as determined by your provider and in accordance with the telehealth laws of your state. If the provider determines that treatment is appropriate, a prescription will be sent to a licensed pharmacy for fulfillment. Typical processing and delivery time is approximately 4–5 business days. Do I need insurance?
No. The MDRxLabs membership is a self-pay healthcare service and does not require insurance. Flexible payment options are available.
What should I know about GLP-1 medications?
GLP-1 receptor agonists are a class of medications originally developed for type 2 diabetes that have also been FDA approved (in their brand-name forms) for weight management in certain patients. The compounded versions available through the MDRxLabs membership are NOT FDA approved and have not been independently evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. Your provider will evaluate your medical history, current medications, and contraindications (including a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 syndrome) to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you.
What if I want to pause or cancel?
You may pause or cancel your membership at any time. If you and your provider decide to discontinue GLP-1 treatment, your provider may recommend a tapering schedule. Weight regain after discontinuation is common and your provider can discuss strategies for long-term weight management.
What is included in my membership?
Your MDRxLabs membership includes telehealth consultations with a licensed provider, a personalized care plan, prescription fulfillment if appropriate, and shipping. All pricing is displayed on our membership plans page.
What is the minimum age to enroll in MDRxLabs?
You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in the MDRxLabs membership. GLP-1 medications are not prescribed to individuals under 18 through this platform.
What happens if my BMI falls below 25?
Because GLP-1s for weight management are indicated for obesity or overweight with a related condition, your clinician will reassess and may adjust dosing, shift to maintenance, or pause/discontinue depending on your health goals and risk factors.
